Suddenly I see the light,
It was never far.
I was just too engrossed,
In my own tiny jar.

There are things that we do
for the people that we love;
Strange things. From the ground
up to the sky above.

Everytime I falter, I craft a new self.
Shells lay strewn about this messy room.
They bear marks of history;
of feelings; of love, of loss.

Don't fall in love with flowers;
not ones that prick your heart.
The glass thorns will pierce your side.
Thy world will fall apart.
...

Darkened moon, why do you weep?
Lifeless, listless, your children yearn for sleep.
Kept in chains and bound by laws,
Sleep is mauled by anger's maws.
...

When you can sleep and not feel rested,
when your eyes are enough to haunt the dead.
When your memories of mind, heart, soul and flesh can ache,
and when the sounds of the living are beyond what you can take.
...

Where white walls meet on painted cracks,
and tears still streak the face of dawn.
Where trouble lies and hopes abound
in places lost long ago.
...

We all fight our battles,
we all fight our wars.
We all open chasms,
we all close the doors.
...

The metalic clash of bronze,
the sweeping sound of steel.
The first draw of swords,
in their weilder's hands feel.
...

I love the way you laugh,
I love the way you smile.
I wish that you could come,
and stay for more than awhile.
