There is evil in the world
and it is not the terrorist kind
These villains sport ties, slacks
and well-pressed suits, the best money can find

I slipped the other day
said something that
took more than reckless feeling
to say

Sometimes The Evil Wears A Suit And Kills You With His Pen

There is evil in the world
and it is not the terrorist kind
These villains sport ties, slacks
and well-pressed suits, the best money can find

Protected inside their elevated perches
made of glass and steel
these foes occasionally peer down
from those lofty heights to give us
a flash of their zeal

A snickering grin as another
billion gleefully rolls on in,
the net product of having
pushed more
disease-ridden financial instruments
down the throats of another million
without the feeling of sin

Allied with the best legal minds
an ever depreciating dollar can buy
new scheme's are hatched while the
old ones wither and die

a reckless carnage
the likes of which has toppled great nations
throughout the course of time
Oh how we mourn the list of fallen empire's
at the hands of the worlds oldest crime

Perhaps will come a day in which a country's
power be defined
by their abundance of humility
their persistence of humanity
the two inextricably intertwined
the stars subliminally aligned
the world peacefully inclined
exploitation criminally maligned

or maybe its just wishful thinking?
