Margaret Watts Poems

From "coo's " and gurgles,
you led the way.
Into my heart,
as we often play. Toddlers and teens,

There were things, we were going to do.
Schools, and careers, and future plans too. As growing years, just seemed to fly.
Many of ours did certainly die. Now your a man, a husband and father.
One might ask, why all the bother! Because I love you, and certainly care,
...

Opening on a meadow's garden.
Spreading wings as pedals pardon. Enticing breeze, if you please.
Succulent nectar just to tease. Imploring fragrance to expedite.
A gentle touch to excite. Love bloomed into fullness.

To A Daughter

From "coo's " and gurgles,
you led the way.
Into my heart,
as we often play. Toddlers and teens,
emotions were mixed.
Coming of age,
many things were fixed. Now your a woman,
a mother yourself.
Now I can only,
tell myself. Never look back
it's not worth the time
You energy should be,
in a steady climb. For love to unfold,
you must carry the load.
As often told,
you must always be bold, Change will not come.
for things that's been done..
Your future depends,
on each setting sun. Faith, hope, and love,
a goal to obtain.
For it is God's plan,
so perfectly lain.
