Like heaven as it's perched on a tree
Its lemony fragrance is fantastic
At least it seems so to me.

You could put it in your house
By a window near your chair.

There is nothing I like more
Than to sit upon a swing
With birds and bees galore.

I needed to get away
Quiet was what I needed
Some peace for me that day.

There were tiny little snowballs nestled
Within the autumn leaves of red
It is like the tree wasn't finished
It had more to say instead.

This is New Year's Eve, my friends
So much can happen next year
Will something bad happen to us
Much sadness that will bring us tears?

I want to tell you a story, my friend
About what my birds have done
They twit about the bird feeders
Oh, they are so much fun.

The reason they have pumpkin patches
Are so little kids who live in town
Can see the colors, smells and love
And hear all the wonderful country sounds.

Once again October is here
Your birthday's on my mind
The happy years of childhood
Are always there... I find.
