I Am The Constitution
I was born in pride and passion, and Providence made it clear
That honor, faith and justice came, when I brought freedom here
Today I stand at hearing rooms; I walk down hallowed halls,
'Mid echoes of those patriots who answered freedom's call.
I witness every courtroom, I record each choice that's made
I count the yeas, I count the nays, as every vote's displayed
I measure every entry.. Amendments, Acts and Bills,
I see the motions on the floor, and actions on the hill
I bow my head in wonder at the founders standing there
Guided by that Governor that kept them ...
