Marilyn Roman Biography

Peotry just takes me to a happier place. It separates me from some of the bad experiences I've faced for a young age. It's not that I enjoy, but I favor the idea of peotry being passionate when times can be difficult.)

The Demeanor

Head held high
Self- indulged with pride
And though she cries
she hides inside
her pain and will
to let love be still.

Sure of her mind
hesitation, you can't find
And though she is certain
she hides that she's hurting
her urges that she fights
to either be happy or be right.

With confidence she glides
Attention from outside
And though she aches with pain
she hides the force, retains
her ability to be who she wants to be.
But the only one that sees her struggles is the one who cannot see.
