Sometimes Dreaming Is The Only Way

Time drifts by as I think,
Of what I should’ve done,
Who I could have been,
To let you know that you’re the one

I think of in my dreams,
The one I long to see,
But now you’ve gone away
And without you, I can’t bear to stay

So I pack away your things,
Wonder if I ever meant anything,
If you thought of me,
Ever lost a second of sleep

Cause it’s you clouding up my dreams,
You’re the one I long to see,
But now you’re far away
And without you, I can’t bear to stay

And I know you’re better off, wherever you are,
Even without me,
I know the past won’t matter, just wish I could’ve been there to see
You close your eyes,
Your final breath,
Your skin turn cold as I kiss you goodbye,
Cause now there’s nothing left

So I close my eyes,
Just to have you for a little while,
I beg this once not to be,
Be reminded you’re no longer mine

You’re just the one I’ll (only) be with in my dreams,
The one I won’t ever see,
And now you’re far away,
It’s clear there’s no point to stay,
Without you, I’ll throw my life away,
Just as you did.
