Once Again

I'm going to the Cat's Eye Pub,
Traveling to meet my ancient love.
I Know I've known her once before.
Could this be some old-time lore?

It was an ancient time as I remember.
I think it happened in late November.
She was a very bright woman you see.
She thought independently.
Back then they called it heresy.

Ignorance said 'we have rules they are written here.'
Her actions and statements are very queer.
Hypocrisy pointed and said 'a witch is she.'
"Take her to the old oak tree.'
'She thinks independently.'

Oh my God this cannot be. What am I to do?
I stood helpless in the crowd as they murdered you.
They raised their torches in the air.
'This is a good thing' I heard ignorance declare.
'We have rules they are written here.'
'Her actions and statements were very queer.'

The scene was so loud.
The men were so proud.
Control had its day.
Independence with life did pay.

When they murdered you they murdered me.
I climbed the cliffs as high as I could be.
I stared at the moon as I tossed myself into the sea.

Your spirit I felt in the wind on my face.
I was headed for a less ignorant place.
In the future we are here.
Your actions and statements aren't perceived as so queer.

I'm going to the Cat's Eye Pub,
Traveling to meet my ancient love.
I Know I've known her once before.
This can not be some old-time lore.
