For Amina

As much as I try to fill my emotions in these paragraphs it still leaves me broken and empty,

In seconds we lost you forever, In a heartbeat you took part of us that can't be replaced,

I wished I'd know better than to say goodbye, I wished I could go back in time to change things,

We missed you and we still miss you, We miss the part that makes us complete, We miss the part that binds us firm,

I never knew memory flashes could hurt, every fragment stabs my heart.

I'd promised I wouldn't be this broken, I'd promise to lived your legacy,

If I had been as strong as you are then maybe I wouldn't have to feel the pains of broken glasses, and even when it hurts I still manage to smile between tears.

I pray for you rest, I pray for you peace, I pray for you blessings, and I pray for you mercy.

I hope our next meeting to be blissful in Jannah.
It's been 3 years and it still feels like moments ago.
