Life Jacket

Some days I feel like a hopeless romantic
drowning in your antics
I jump when I see you call
feeling like I'm going insane
this is nothing but obsessive pain
and I've got no one but myself to blame
I'm screaming down an empty hall
talking to you is like punching a wall
I just get new scars and your still the same
but you couldn't care less I'm just your play thing
you don't say a thing until I'm walking out the door
then you say anything while you cry on the floor
you say you need me and I get hooked again
I wish I could say its the first time but its more like ten
I feel like I'm treading water in a whirlpool
and damn I forgot my life jacket
so now I'm feeling like a fool
