In the dark

I stand watching everyone around me
passing by but never glancing in my direction
I stand listening to everyone around me
talking away but never hearing me speak

There are shadows everywhere I turn
trying to stop me from reaching the light
weighing me down with fairy tale words
towards the emptiness and not towards the fullness
...

Darkness ans Shadows surround us
taking our hope and joy
there's no escape
from the fighting and hurt
...

I am alone
fighting my own battles
Alone
to find were I belong
...

We see with our eyes
we talk with our mouths
these are things we can't live without
what will we leave the next generation
