And Is That Just?
Today in Rivershank I lost my cool.
Compared to those brutal and eager men,
my fate should have been bright; at least a bit,
for I should be a light, though I'm accused.
The way my life was lived is full of rules
and I obeyed them all but for this time.
Who would have thought this through, who was like me?
Who would, indeed my friend, have thought at all?
Sincerely I do face what I have done,
and though regret and grief do seem so shallow,
I think and think and think without result.
Oh happy joy of life, you lost your crown.
