I'm a Buddhist, a Muslim, a Christian, a Jew I'm White, I'm Black, I'm Brown Just like you Why do you fear me, what was my crime? I come here like you did Once upon a time I'm a Child who is hungry, a Woman who was raped I'm a Man with no job, seeking poverty's escape Why do you fear me? What is the harm If I ask for a sandwich or a place to feel warm? In my land there is violence, hatred and rain I've heard here there is sunshine, kindness, no pain. Why do you fear me? I mean no distress I'm only running from those who oppress I'm simply a human, with dreaming to do You don't have to fear me I'm just like you.
