Blood And Tears

Ounce by ounce, dropp by drop
What's it gonna take for you to stop
Yourself from doing it again?
It seems like there's no end
You say it takes away the pain
And its the only way you'll stay sane
But can't you see that for me every cut on you is gonna be
Another cut on my heart and it makes me fall apart
As I lay awake at night wondering why I continue to fight
To get you through the dark, then to myself I remark
As I lie that every tear from my eye
Is another dropp of blood you shed
And it makes me want to bang my head
Against the wall until I fall
To the ground unable to make a sound
Because you can't understand the pain you cause
But then I pause
Because I remember you're my friend
And I know I'm gonna see this to the end
And try to take away the pain
-Wash it off like dirt in the rain
I vow I'm gonna make you smile
And those words, I swear
Are final.
