Magical Nanny/ Mary Poppins

If you look up
To the lovely London sky
At precisely the right time
You may just see
a nanny
floating down on the tail of a kite
And then
Before you can blink
She enters 17 Cherry Tree Lane
And slides up a staircase
Parrot umbrella and carpet bag in hand
And with a snap
And a spoonful of sugar
The nursery is in order
And she's off on another adventure
Jumping through sidewalks
Dancing on rooftops
Feeding the birds
And it's all just
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious
And practically perfect in every way
Until one day
When you go off to fly a kite
She slips away
Like a dream
And you're never the same again
