I Wish I Could Fly

I wish I could I fly to feel closer to you
High in the clouds where it's deep dark blue
Continuing on still looking for you
As high as my body would allow me to
I would yell your name so very loud
Perhaps you would hear me and come flying down
With your angel wings and elegant gown
Could I even see you with tears streaming down
Each day is not easier as they all say
I feel like you left me just yesterday
Not a day goes by that I don't think of you
Just to see your smile would make the gray sky blue
I know one day I'll get to hold your hand
But only God knows when we'll be together again
So until that day I have to carry on
Still wishing always you were not gone
I will never ever say goodbye
So for now until then
I wish I could fly
