There Is More To A Pencil

You think I am one of those plain yellow pencils,
You think I am just some sort of writing utensil,
You think that you can just jab me on a vacant piece of paper?
Well you are wrong, there is more to me than you think.

I can be used as a back scratcher,
A back scratcher that can get to those hard to reach places.
When you are bored you can play and do tricks with me,
As long as you don’t distract the teacher.

I am a great use for tracing,
And will never leave you with a curve,
That you can observe.

Now we talk survival.
When you run into the woods and need to make a fire,
Make sure you bring some pencils to replace the firewood.

Pencils may be small,
But they have a lot of quality.
