I Am A Girl, But Don't Kill Me!
I am the birth of hopes
curtains of joy unfurl,
light paves its way on
it is the birth of a little girl.
I am the key of good luck & hope
but my fortune is such a hard,
even though I would spread the good
but my life has been torn athwart.
Let me with these tiny eyes
glance with this a beautiful world,
for then you may find me up
flying free like a fairy bird.
Let me with those tiny hands
feel the world so worthy,
for then you may find me up
a diamond from a coal so swarthy.
Let me with those tiny legs
walk this world a distance,
for then you may find me up
outshining those men, with most persistence.
But I know, you won't let me
out with wings a wear,
for I may cut those evil myths
with my wisdom a shear.
