MR-DENIS- MARTINDALE Poems

Adorned in costume dress so green,
And nestled peacefully,
No thoughts of harm, she stayed serene,
Amid the scenery.

A billion Bibles aren't enough to share my God's amazing love!
Beyond the stars that shine above! Amazing grace and more.
And yet, while trees on Earth persist, such precious lives should not feel missed,
Since tree by tree, God will enlist Christ's Gospel to explore!

Goldberry

Adorned in costume dress so green,
And nestled peacefully,
No thoughts of harm, she stayed serene,
Amid the scenery.
While butterflies, blue as the sky,
Knew nothing much at all,
She knew enough, not asking why,
The ways she could enthral.
For anyone whose blood now stirred
Through such a winsome sight,
Would gently stare without a word,
At her in pure delight.
A mouth that longed to pour out praise
Would stay shut for a while,
And longing eyes transfixed would gaze
And upturned lips would smile.
The golden hair now framed her face
And trailed down at each side.
One butterfly now set in place,
With blue wings opened wide.
As if drawn to her noble hand,
Without a single fear,
Portrayed the wonders God had planned
Each season of the year.
And anyone who understood
The beauty she bestowed,
Could no more see the lake or wood,
Just her and how she glowed.
And anyone who fell in love
With beauty at its best
Would praise the Lord who ruled above
As someone who felt blessed.
For love is what life grants the wise
Just like the morning dew,
Beguiled enough beyond their sighs,
Confessing, I love you!
