Muhammad Auwal Ibrahim Biography

Muhammad Auwal Ibrahim is a young Nigerian writer, poet and playwright. He is internationally recognised. He attended Gombe Children School for his nursery and primary education. He studied at Gombe High School. He is a member of Poets In Nigeria Initiative.  He was shortlisted for the New Man Writing Contest 2018 and word weavers poetry contest 2018. Some of his works are published in Tuck magazine, praxis magazine, pengician, knowislam, TACT Nigeria, tushstories, the words finesse, my ACEworld publishers magazine, Philip peace literary art world and poetry planet. He has been featured in about 8 international anthologies. He has won so many poetry challenges.)

That Is What They Want

That is what they want
they want us to go and fold our arms
and watch them do want they wish

That is what they want
they want us to be angry
that is why they are annoying us

They want us to give up
so that they will mount every where
even our homes
while we are alive

They want us to say we are tired
so that they will continue with their activities
