Muhammad Iftikhar Poems

O innocent lamb are you here?
Again it is fancy and you are not near.
You used to graze in silent meadow,
Like silky cloud wandering in air.
...

Once there was an overloaded aunt,
Whose habit was to taunt.
Always she walked like in parade,
And was always ready for a raid.
...

It was a morning bright,
Time of flock's flight,
Black and blue, brown and white,
Pleasurely performed was religious rite.

Partition Of Lamb

O innocent lamb are you here?
Again it is fancy and you are not near.
You used to graze in silent meadow,
Like silky cloud wandering in air.
Once in thundering when we got afraid,
Then I ran and you followed in fear.
Oh innocent, true and fair follower,
Your memories have captured my heart's sphere.
You used to sit with your mom
But she was snatched in share.
Do we deserve to be called men?
Because for humanity we damn care.
When a pack of dogs attacked you,
You would have run in despair.
Birds and animals return in the evening
But why not you my dear?
This partition I have taken to heart,
Because your patch is lying bare.
