O How I Envy You

how I envy you when you read,
every word turns into sea,
and how you bathe in the meanings,
going in depths and unfolding hidden treasures,
Like pealing an onion... surface after surface,

How I am jealous of you when I read,
every sea turns into stone and I,
fall upon the unfriendly surface,
and start bleeding from head to toe,
and pursual becomes an enemy for me,
how the heart panics and I,
get afraid like an infant from darkness,
and seek shelter away from the books,
oh how I envy you.
