I have yet to wake up at 3: 15 a.m. to see you lying there blissfully unaware of the world that waits for you until you wake,
I wonder what you're dreaming about
I wonder what you think about when you get that gentle reminder of how you can feel,
I wonder if you're scared to lose your heart to me (even though I already have it)

3: 15 A.M.

I have yet to wake up at 3: 15 a.m. to see you lying there blissfully unaware of the world that waits for you until you wake,
I wonder what you're dreaming about
I wonder what you think about when you get that gentle reminder of how you can feel,
I wonder if you're scared to lose your heart to me (even though I already have it)
Although I'm not in the shape of a pig skin that you throw around
I can read you like my favorite book, word per word, cover to cover, and I feel like the world would never be put back together until they've read you, although they could never quite understand you darling because you're like Shakespeare at his finest, and I'm the only one who could ever hear your soliloquies
You are the most beautiful thing, although words couldn't express you're like a portrait of that screaming boy, broken like that vase I shattered when I was 8 years old, but we aren't 8 anymore, and we don't cry for scrapped knees or toys we couldn't have
I wonder what you cry for and if you desire things you can't have because of me
I wonder what you long for at the oddest hours of the day
I'm not in the business of trying to hurt you but I like to and I'm sorry
I hope you know everything could do you harm especially me, the girl who wonders about you
