My Elegy

The once bright eyes
Has now turned dull and void
The cheerful and affable smile
Is not real anymore
The heart filled with happiness
Is now empty and hollow
Life is merely a long bleak road
To which there is no ending
All hopes and dreams
Just buried deep inside
Burden of day-long pain
Burns my soul every night
As I lay down to my bed
I wish to cry and scream
As there is no one
Who loves me for who I am
The feeling of worthlessness
Being dubious and futile
Has now become my constant
One day as my chapter ends
This will tell you my true self
That I kept to myself.
