The trees were bare, the ground was white,
The sky had an eerie grey-blue light.
The fields were empty, clean and pure,
Winter waited for the sun to shine once more.

When you're with me, all fear melts away,
Dissolves into a thousand pieces of black night,
Quickly forgotten.

The Love Story

The trees were bare, the ground was white,
The sky had an eerie grey-blue light.
The fields were empty, clean and pure,
Winter waited for the sun to shine once more.

Then out of the silence came a sound,
Not very quiet, but not very loud.
The crunch of footsteps in the snow,
two voices speaking very low.

A man and a woman with jet black hair,
For the world around them they did not care.
They walked slowly hand in hand,
Walked slowly through this new white land.

They planned their future for when they were married,
The man had a ring which he secretly carried.
They turned around to go back home,
With a gunshot the woman was left alone.

The whiteness around her was stained blood-red,
Many tears she did then shed.
A blurry figure appeared at her side
'Why did you kill him? ! ' she loudly cried.

The woman laid herself down in the snow,
The figure knew he had to go.
She died of cold and bad frostbite,
Her body lay there in the fading light.

The trees were bare the ground was red,
Where a man had died and bled.
A frozen body lay in the snow,
Where two lovers used to go.
