Footprints Never Fade
The journey is much longer when you don’t know where you’re going
Many travel down the path that is wide.
You don’t really know your destination in the distance; you just follow your feet,
And the path is obscured by the incoming tide.
It’s OK to leave the roads, to obscure lands and river flows,
A turn here a turn there, because your journeys not to share.
Etched in the memory of unpaved paths, through mud, trees and fragile grass;
That compresses underneath your feet, yet springs back up to meet,
The memory of you.
