Decadence

Her skin was soft like a baby’s bottom,
Now it is scaly and wrinkled with age.
Those who admired her lovely bosom,
Has all played their part and left this world’s stage.

Her pink lips which all the men longed to kiss,
Are sunken without her white pearl-like teeth.
Folks considered her company a bliss,
Though now she feels neglected underneath.

Whose youth made jealous the season of Spring,
Is now the embodiment of things old.
She who roamed all over always chuckling,
Stopped crossing any farther than her threshold.

Her hair once compared to the dark clouds vast,
Has all fallen from her infertile head.
She recalled memories of her great past
While she wait for her end in her death bed.

She had been a pious, pure and chaste lady,
But it won’t matter to the worms, she knew.
They will make love to her rotting body,
Six feet down under in a year or two.
