My Love

My love, I have been a grand fool
I just forgot the golden rule
For love cannot be won with words
Or with sweet songs of mockingbirds
Love is ruled by action, impulse,
Anything else is simply false.
My heart is thumping in my chest
I’m about to ask the very best

But I digress, I must confess,
To be with you I’m truly blessed
So let us stay, together still
We may not have the time to kill
Love, spend your days with me, forever.
The time for love, now or never
Take this ring; with it is my heart.
We wont spend one moment apart
To slip this ring upon your hand
Would be the ocean to my sand
We’ll live an eternal honeymoon
Love from morning till afternoon

Yes, your pureness is a treasure
But do I not deserve the pleasure?
Sure, you are a woman of class
But as you know, beauty can’t last.
I’ll love you till our world is grey
Until all that’s us, fades away.
I’ll always see right through your skin
Marveling at the beauty within
For your true beauty remains sealed
To your smile I simply yield
Your charm and wit keep me awake
And now the breath is yours to take
