Mask

I hold my mask to my face
which is a task
I show what I want people to see
I doubt they know thats not me
I pretend to be happy and make funny jokes
but, that's just a mask everyone sees.

They don't see that I scream
to be free
They'll never know I cry at night
because I give up the fight.
All they'll see is a mask
not me.
