I Just Tried To Be Honest

I Just Tried To Be Honest

In this world of chaos and unrest
out of everyone I tried to be someone
I ended up being no one
because I just tried to be honest.

I told them my vice and virtue
and what I feel and pusue
They said it was a hornets nest
But I just tried to be honest.

I said I hate these rules
They said I was one of those intelligent fools
They said I didnt deserve what I get
I said I just tried to be honest

I said the system made me apall
I didnt see the rise but only fall
They said I am a pessimist
But I just tried to be honest.

Everyone had the emotion hidden
Unlike me they were not outspoken
They didnt stir up a hornets nest
Unlike me they were not honest

I viewed this sunrise as sunset
I failed in my quest
But I was just trying to be honest.
