Nova Caine Poems

The candle's wicker lays still lit
As it flickers upon the young woman's face
Only moments before reality had hit
And she had ended it in this very place.
...

We twirled to our hearts delight
Sighed in one another’s embrace
Lift me high
Lift me far
...

There it is, the meadow of happiness
Roses, violets, tulips galore
She runs, her dress billowing in the wind
As she picks a bouquet of glorious beauty

The candlelight flickers on her
Slick body as it reflects
Off of her light brown strings
That fall down her slender neck

The Best Poem Of Nova Caine

If Only.

The candle's wicker lays still lit
As it flickers upon the young woman's face
Only moments before reality had hit
And she had ended it in this very place.
The note upon the wall
Contains but five simple words
'I tried, I failed all'
Just below the cage of the bird.
No one heard her screams in the night
No one taught her wrong
From so many right
Times in her despair that is life-long.
If she had lived a few minutes more
She would have seen
Her son was worth living for
Her joy, her pristine
The one thing.
God gave to her for
Being used as many times as
One plus four
And was the best thing she has
If only she would have saw
That life was okay
If only she'd seen that it wasn't so bad after all
If only she went and got a job the next day.
If only she could open her eyes
Look up toward the Heaven upon
The cloudy blue skies
And pray to God
If only she had listened
To her son's heart.
