Olivia Jean Poems

A ray of hope, then dark as night
you torture me in pain
A loving gaze, a gentle touch
..still kneeling in the rain
...

Check her pulse, desperate for a sign.
She stands cold and still, says she's fine.

Check again! Somethings different, somethings wrong.

Still Kneeling In The Rain...

A ray of hope, then dark as night
you torture me in pain
A loving gaze, a gentle touch
..still kneeling in the rain

Eyes full of deep desire
moving your very soul
I doubt this path, this youthful choice
fill me now, from empty to full.

You know I speak my heart
Yours tied, broken, and cold
You flatter me with words so sweet
I long for you to hold...

I've heard these words before
A promise, a plea... why do I stay
I guess its cuz I hope and pray
he'll follow thru someday

How long can tired hearts hold on..
I feel this grasp growing weak
Your slipping thru, a stranger now
isn't labored love a broken vow?
