A Dirge To Nigerians

A people spurned and scorned everyday
Yet, they have proven to be pusillanimous
Slavery, battery and subjection has become putative
A crowd too many but with pussyfoots

Why can't they just show courage for once?
And fight back continuously
Let them become positively pugnacious
My own clans and kinsmen have become putrid
Those of our class, who are activists, are professional pyrotechnicians only

For their activities they feel too much qualms
That is why they have become few
We have had our freedom taken away
