Twas Evil

Twas evil and the bloody Grim Reaper
Did lie and darkened in the cellar;
All black were the devils,
And the vampire avenged revengefully.

'Beware the wolves, my son
The werewolves that betray, the vampires that stab!
Beware the dark knife and shun
The dangerous scythe! '

He took his devilish death in hand;
Long time the hateful werewolf he sought-
So rested he by the revengeful snake,
And stood awhile in thought.

And, as in hateful basement he stood,
The wolves, with claws of darkness,
Came striking through the vampiric wood, ...
