And I shall take my leave away from your cacophony and drive
and I shall sit by the ocean and be alive in the very moment
As one should be
As one needs and longs to be
...
The Watcher
And I shall take my leave away from your cacophony and drive
and I shall sit by the ocean and be alive in the very moment
As one should be
As one needs and longs to be
And there is only the longing in this life of ours
And there I shall look out on the threshold of ages
For I am the watcher of such things when I am deep in my ancient moment
There's a watcher in all but he and she are lost in the mad drive now
But I shall watch
And the twilight shall herald the change of the tide
There has to be a change
And like the subtle passing of a wing I shall know she has been
As she will move at the turning of the tide
And I shall know her dream and speak it and be it in my desire
for I know such subtle things
For I am the watcher of the turning tide
