That old friend will I still recalled
On this called morning
and will there be shame or
remorse in those eyes or thoughts,
...

In the raffle of her words I could
never hope to ever win
her prize, oh much practice
did I engage
...

while the rain is dragging
its children away from
the cruelty,
the brutality,

That Old Friend

That old friend will I still recalled
On this called morning
and will there be shame or
remorse in those eyes or thoughts,
it's some time since I had that first thought
like all those who are born
human, will it still recognise
me or will the mirror
of my life had reflected
too many thoughts for
my old friend to identify
with me anymore along
the road of time.
