When I look into your eyes
I promise
To be there always
Forever and a day

I have known giants in my time
Some may think them ordinary and that's fine
For they did wondrous such things
Things that still in my mind rings
...

Do you wander about in your mind space
And wonder whether if things were different in your race
Towards your final goal in you end
Then you look to what you want to defend
...

Have you wondered what it's like out there
Do you float along without a care
And you see the blue planet below
I think it must be quite a show
...

There will be better days
Our bad times will not forever stay
We will see the sun will shine again
And the bad times will be at an end
...

I stand up slowly and look around
Puzzled I am as the light dims without a sound
The feeling is of unease as I come to realise
I have been here before I know without disguise
...

There's a smile spreading in recognition
Of someone not seen in your life's latest edition
And it doesn't take long for the laughter
To spread across the room's chatter
...

Can you see through their eyes
Is there a sadness that they come to despise
In living each day within themselves
It is a secret that into you cannot delve
...

Eternity hovers over me
As I age it is clearer for me to see
Stretching on forever above and beyond
In such a never ending unknown song
...

They say we stand out in a crowd
How we will always stand so very proud
And your speech can be authoritative and not too absurd
Like we are used to people hanging on every word
