Pendelita was born in Los Angeles, California on Nov.5,1949. She is a graduate of Cal State, Dominguez and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Pendelita holds a Master's Degree in Curriculum and is a retired school librarian. Her interests include reading, poetry, and playing Scrabble.)

Honey brown oval wearing the smile of joy
I know it to be no ploy;
Warm, brown eyes sparkling as they dance
Giving me another wonderful chance;
Chance to be in your presence and share in your light
as I face the world with a refreshed outlook tonight;
Your face gives me hope for the upcoming day
and I smile as I recall your magnificent way
of listening not to the negativity heard by day;
So let me continue to look your way and enjoy the
peace and harmony I see in that face.
