A friend is a husband,
a mother, a wife.
A father, a sister, a brother.
A friend is the one you turn to
...

Each day we were urged,
A little longer to walk.
As the wagon train rolled along.
The days were grim, so we raised our chins.

What Is A Friend

A friend is a husband,
a mother, a wife.
A father, a sister, a brother.
A friend is the one you turn to
when there's strife
The one who is there when there's trouble.

A friend is the one, who stays
faithful and true.
Who guides you along,
when you stray.
Jesus is your friend
who guides you each day.
So remember the Lord,
when temptation is near.
Open your heart and mind
Put temptation behind you
the rest of the day
Just go down on your knees
and pray
