Something stirs within
A guilt?
A vow [but slim]?
A wanton need dismissed
To sleep without wish

Is it me?
Is it not that I have no moral?
Why would you not want what you so desire?
Should I give you another thought?
What about tonight?
Is it she?

Why not get thee to bed
Is it the vow, with what you wed
Be so strong?
Despite to the contrary
Is it we?

Is it not with them that such loyalties lie?
I pray do not pass me by
It is with you that I place my trust
Can you see?
Is it me?

But should I screw your courages?
For I shall not fail
Leave you behind and watch you wail
That isn't my style, perhaps
Another love mishap
To begin?

False courage is it today?
Prove me wrong, go out and play
Please
A merry tune
Is wedlock so gay?
I should say!

We both cowards in our own esteem
Lean
Upon one another?
We should really stand without worth

Filthy witness to our own demise
Without sense or any wise
