1...Shameless (A Tribute To Frank Gallagher)

Rating: 4.5

Tonight they'll be closing up this world
Sweeping the cigarette butts off the street
And musical anthems dished out
From a thousand sub-base woofered Novas.
Shy boys from estated wars
Scarred faces supported by crutches
Know only too well welfare receipts
Kindness benefits from a 20 million payers.
Petty pub violence mirrored
At wifes/girlfriends/daughters door
Is it enough to drive any street dweller
To sharpen their own knives?
See, life breeds what life is
I'll vouch for that
Executives won't leave there houses at night
For fear of seeing what they've created.
The lions can drag off their victims
While the street hyenas laugh
These snakes can find grass in the concrete
But this ain't the city zoo!
Town planners build inward doorways for a reason
Their occupants open the letter boxes
For heating you know
A donated, accidental, act of kindness.
Blinking street lamps define
Shaking youths dispensing sugar pick-me-ups
To the zealotted masses
Traffikking understanding between the classes!

SCATTER! ...party.
