11-8-1012 Poem by Hugh Rhodes

11-8-1012

The carnival your eyes reveal of the stars
that stud your soul
Set off the phosphorescent sea
at night and keep the cosmos whole.
Perhaps because you greet each day
as if it were your own
The world remains amazed at all
the happiness you've sown.
Among the Real people,
the mountains and the streams
And all the living creatures there
reflect your living dreams.
I think sometimes the seasons and
their colors to behold
Occur at all because your
holy coming was foretold.
