2 Books (Symple Simbol-Yzm) Poem by GodBody O.G

Standing still just wouldn't do
and there is no middle ground
Make a choice but think it through
cause no one sticks around
Never thought I'd be in this position
To save face I'm using symple simbol-yzm

There was a book I wanted to need
though I planned to stop for awhile
Returning to my old-fashioned creed
and hit the streets running wild
The cover was amazing
the binding woven tight
Pictures with beautiful shading
and the words were just right
I began to read again
and a smile same across my face
until it seemed the story
was headed in a different place
But I kept on reading
eager to see where it went
Wrote poems from what I read
because that's the way I vent
And as I was about to put it down
and stop reading once again
Another book was suddenly found
certified mail from a friend
So there I stood 2 books in hand
one in my right one in my left
In the days before I was a man
this would have been the best
But these days I went to read one at a time
and see how the story ends
The old me would have been totallly fine
who cares if they were.......
I sat down to read the second book
to see where the story takes me
And a couple pages is all it took
for my thoughts to overtake me
That book was good but I can't read both
so I bookmarked the second
Tried to get a good nights sleep
but awoke as my thougts again beckoned
7: 30am I sat on the edge
got on my knees and made a pledge
ASking God for that sign
we all try so hard to find
Knowing well I had to stop reading one
I got up with my final outcome
Looking at them both holding my breath
I reached out and grabbed the one on my....
I want to keep that other book
not to read later on
But to remind me everyday
of the days that have come and gone
