2019,Last of the Teens?

Coming to a close, the Year 2018
has evidenced yet again the speed of the time machine
Like a stream which flows, more like a river
rushing forth, the uncontrollable unforgiver

Paving the way for 2019's
Will, that put our century at the end of the Teens?
We are moving ahead
perhaps leaving the troubled waters behind our head

Paving the way for better times
Every year frolics past as fast as the ringing chimes
Here today, tomorrow gone
leaving us forlorn

Coming afresh in leaps and bounds
2019 wakes us for life's new rounds
