' A Photograph' - Poem by Pushpinder Kaur

A Photograph

When life becomes a photograph
framed and secured;
Motionless and lifeless
Following your steps as you may pass by.
The eyes following you
the smile haunting you…

It, yet calls upon you-
to sit by
Spend some silent moments in sacred communication;
A link with all that life stood for
A memory of oceans of moments
A lifetime… remembered.

Mother, each time I glance at your portrait
I believe more in what I feel than what I see!

Poet's Notes about The Poem

Life rolling on, more than a year, since my Mother lives not without but within me, the sea of feelings feels a different wave each time- so the share!
