' A Photograph' Poem by Pushpinder Kaur

' A Photograph'

A Photograph

When life becomes a photograph
framed and secured;
Motionless and lifeless
Following your steps as you may pass by.
The eyes following you
the smile haunting you…

It, yet calls upon you-
to sit by
Spend some silent moments in sacred communication;
A link with all that life stood for
A memory of oceans of moments
A lifetime… remembered.

Mother, each time I glance at your portrait
I believe more in what I feel than what I see!
