Free me of these late night thoughts—
when the mind succumbs to such temptations,
submerged beyond cerebral matter
like a dark cloud rising at sunset.
Free me of the social confines that
keep me captive in the basis of
conformity, chained by the puppets
and the overbearing strings of their
oppressive commandments. Free those
that've never experienced the
unfaithful liberty of the
American Dream. Free the mind of
society, verbose with standards
in the mind of a man. Free us
from labeling humanity and
allow us to behave with compassion
rather than act for satisfaction.
Free those that've never known what it
truly means to be free other than
the right to walk down the street.
Why are we numb to feeling free? Freedom
is justice, so let us all be free.
Free me of these thoughts that will keep me
awake, cuz I just need some sleep.
