30th Ascention Poem by Kevin Patrick

30th Ascention

On this eve, of my thirtieth incarnation,
bound to temporal corporeality
hovering on a rock
revolving around
the atomic maelstrom
of a neon nuclear inferno
situated in some provincial arm
of a backwards
insignificant
pipsqueak of a geek
spiral galaxy
suffocated
among the trillions and trillions
of unfathomably
vast,
infinite paralyzing
host of celestial bodies
among this reality
of once irrelevance
in their personal existence
I have come to learn
that it is the word;
compassion
that can conquer death and gravity
and find us immortal with
universal harmony
with that which
we are truly here;
Oneness with the divine

This is a definite ten.
