#36 (From, ‘what's Really Happening - In 54 Numbers’) Poem by Peter S. Quinn

#36 (From, ‘what's Really Happening - In 54 Numbers’)

Breath to breath from our face,
Squinting eyes flirtation gaze;
Oceans of fire trust and amaze,
Vanishing to dust.
Without hope walking in vain,
Forgotten love grain by grain;
Tortured feelings endured pain,
Affections in rust.

Mind's eye of past unknown flight,
Glow from candle diminished in light;
Burning flames without bright,
Has this life some just.

Limb to limb I reached for you,
Out there just darkest of blue;
Swallowing thoughts once so true,
Was it love or lust?
