5th And Main - Poem by Seth Morrow

I just saw her the other day
on the corner of 5th and main.
And much to my surprise
there where no tears in her eyes.

A love once so strong we shared
a love that was broken when she disappeared.
My mind was taken back in time
to a place when she was mine.

My love my love my love
how can this be
My love my love my love
this is still me.
I thought I had forgotten you
but 5th and main won’t allow me to

Now i’m forced to recollect
the memories I’ve tried to forget
I can still remember the cold, cold rain
after the collision on 5th and main.

My love my love my love
how can this be
My love my love my love
this is still me
I thought I had forgotten you
but 5th and main won’t allow me to

Maybe in time her spirit will leave
maybe in time my memory will be put to ease
But 5th and main still means to me
a cemetery of loves disease

My love my love my love
how can this be
My love my love my love
this is still me
I’ll never be able to forget you
because 5th and main won’t allow me to.
