My 9-5 workday, a steady beat,
My spirit lifts with music's sweet.
My heart feels full, a loving glow,
My worries fade, they softly go.
Then a late August day, a sudden heart sting,
Dolly's news, even birds won't sing.
My world felt still, a quiet sigh,
As my hearts melodies began to weep.
While in my heart, her melodies sleep
My work must goes on, the hours forever creep
Until the day I cross the dawn, where she'll sing live anew.
